For those that are new around here, this blog is all about different ways to make extra money from home. By no means are these methods only available to “moms”… but I like to focus on ideas that are flexible enough for even the busiest moms to accomplish!

While you’re waiting, here are a couple of past posts to keep you reading…

Another awesome profit idea to check out, if I do say so myself…. Mom Cracks The Code! This report is about how you can make a wonderful stream of income from your computer with NO selling involved. Definitely a MUST SEE.

Hi. My name is Christine, and I’m an addict.

For the past ten years, I’ve been insanely addicted to message boards. When I was first starting out online, I sought out places where I could find support and friends who shared my same interests.

Fast forward ten years and I’m still a frequent visitor to at least two dozen message boards (or forums, as they’re also called). You can find forums on literally ANY topic, from celebrity gossip to digital scrapbooking to contortioning.

These forums contain a wealth of information, and you’re bound to strike up many new online friendships.

So why am I telling you things that you probably already know? I share this because I can’t believe that there’s now a way for us to actually get paid to post on some of the forums we love to visit.

The owners of these forums WANT people to visit their site and post messages about relevant topics, and these owners are willing to PAY you to do it.

Why? Simply put, forum posters create original content on these websites without the owner having to do it themselves. Original content means better search engine placement, which means more traffic, and in turn more profits for them.

Now let me say, right off the bat, you won’t become insanely rich posting to forums. But if you have an extra couple hours daily, why not give it a go? Generally speaking (very generally, because pay rates vary wildly), you may be paid about ten cents per post.

If you think posting to forums sounds like a pretty cool way of making an extra $70 weekly (again, more or less, depending on the amount of pay and how much you post), check my new section on forum posting. I’m working on a list of places that are looking to hire posters - it should be done soon.

http://www.momcash.com/domain-sales
Reselling domain names can be a very profitable experience. I stumbled upon this little known money maker a few years ago when deciding to sell off my first domain. I knew that I would not have the time to develop it, so I listed it at eBay for a starting bid of $9.00. (I figured I could at least make my money back from it!)

I hardly did any prep work. I did open up my Paint Shop Pro program and create a simple logo for the site, and included the logo in the auction description. Creating the logo took about 10 minutes, and another 10 minutes for the auction description.

I listed it as a 5 day auction. The first few days went by with no bids. The fourth day my starting bid was met. (Remember, I went into this NOT trying to profit.) I figured I would wake up the next day with the $9.00 in my Paypal account and I would start the domain transfer. Well, to my surprise, I awoke to a BIDDING FRENZY and the final bid at OVER $160.00! All for a simple domain name!

I half expected to not receive payment, but the winning bidder happily zipped over the $163.00 payment via Paypal, which thus started my new money-making (obsession?) venture.

Now, I can’t promise you a profit pull of that much, but it IS possible to take one domain name and turn it into easy cash.

First, choose your domain wisely. I focus on mainly mom-based domains, but there are HUNDREDS of topics you can think of. Think of your own interests, hobbies, etc. I try not to choose domains with numbers or hyphens, although sometimes I do when it makes sense to (i.e. mom-to-be.com). I normally only buy .com domains, because these are worth much more.

Secondly, get yourself a free or low cost photo editing software. I use Paint Shop Pro, which costs about $70, but you can get yourself a free trial at www.jasc.com. There’s plenty of other software that’s just as good and free; just do a Google search. Get familiar with the software. Spend time making sample images, banners, and logos.

Write a catchy auction ad! Be sure to include possible uses for the domain name. I’ve found this to increase the bids by up to 200%!

Post the domain sale on relevant message boards or discussion lists. Notice that I said “relevant”. Do NOT spam your ad, or you’ll find yourself unwelcome when returning. Read up on “ad posting days”, or dig around to find a forum where it’s okay to post your sale. You can also post a short blurb about your domain for sale in your “Signature File” and post useful messages. (Useful!)

Remember that it’s almost pure profit, so don’t be afraid to start your bid price low (if you’re auctioning off your domain). You can get a GoDaddy domain for $9.20 (or even lower; check my domain page for the newest coupons I’ve found). Starting your auction at $14.00 won’t break you, and chances are (as long as you found yourself a pretty good domain name), a few bidders will raise that price pretty quickly.

If you’re outright “selling” your domain name, pick a fair price. Trying to get $1,000 for my-pickle-farming-biz.com seems a little crazy, right? Believe it or not, there are sellers who actually start at such a crazy starting bid! (And FYI, I just made up that domain. I sure hope it’s not a real one!) What would YOU pay for your domain? Factor that in when deciding on a fair price.

That’s all of my domain selling tips for now!

For more hints on domain name selling, be sure to visit my domain selling section at http://www.MomCash.com/domain-sales
I’ve sold literally dozens and dozens of excellent domains, and have many more priceless tips to share!

The Work-At-Home Mom’s Secrets To Squeezing A BONUS Hour Out Of Each Day!
Time-challenged? If you have kids, sure… what parent isn’t short on time? But if you’re one of the lucky few who have decided to pursue an in-house income, time seems to sneak away more often than we care to admit.

How can it be?, you ask. What would you do with an extra hour each day?

Please feel free to print this report and add notes where you see fit.
All tips can be easily adaptable to your particular situation.
- Lay out your clothes the night before.

- Learn how to sleep. Sleep soundly, then work refreshed.

- Get up earlier.

- Create a daily schedule … and stick to it!

- Write notes or letters while waiting for others.

- Do less passive reading, TV watching and the like.

- Limit your web surfing - set a timer.

- Don’t let others to waste your time.

- Organize your work; do it systematically.

- Delegate authority, if possible.

- Spend less time on un-important phone calls.

- Work hardest when you’re mentally most alert.

- Eliminate activities which make little contribution to the best results for your life.

- Always do the toughest jobs first.

- Before each major act, ask: Is this REALLY necessary?

- Choose interesting and constructive literature for spare-moment reading.

- Always carry an envelope with paper in it, stamps and a few postcards.

- Combine tasks which are done in the same area.

- Be prompt for all appointments, whether in person, via phone, or online.

- Relax. Ready yourself for the important jobs in life.

- Concentrate on the specific task you’re doing.

- Make constructive use of those five- or ten-minute waiting periods.

- Always carry a pencil and pocket notebook to capture important ideas.

- Learn to do other “unnecessary things” while watching TV or listening to the radio.

- Learn to read more rapidly.

- Avoid making a “production” out of small tasks.

- Avoid interruptions.

- Tackle only one job at a time.

- Know your limitations.

- “DO” instead of “DREAM”.

Now that you have an extra hour (or more!) from your days, make them happier!

- Apologize if wrong

- Think first of someone else

- Appreciate

- Be kind

- Be gentle

- Laugh a little more

- Express your thanks

- Gladden a child’s heart

- Mend a quarrel

- Search out a forgotten friend

- Dismiss suspicion

- Write an overdue letter

- Encourage youth

- Keep a promise

- Find the time

- Forego a grudge

- Forgive an enemy

- L-I-S-T-E-N

- Enjoy earth’s beauty
